I love the South

After enjoying a sunny, 80 degree day, I went to the first cookout of the season. Summer's here, right? It's official... Dear weather, please don't take this away from me.

Hope you all got to enjoy some great weather as well- no matter where you are.

On a related note, I didn't get any writing or editing done today. No regrets!

Update: And now I am watching Twin Peaks. This show is so strange and fantastic- how have I not seen this before? I like to call this researching, since I'm trying to write a mystery/detective novel. This counts as research. Definitely.

  1. It absolutely counts as research. Because you're learning stuff. Right? Right.

We had OK weather. The wind was kind of chilly, not warm enough for shorts, but I had the windows open and it felt pretty good. I'm still worried we're going to get one of those freak April blizzards, though.

  2. I know what you mean! I was worried about jinxing it by talking about how nice the weather was- we'll probably end up with three feet of snow next week.

  3. Elizabeth, I am here from the future--Sunday--to tell you today it's chilly. It's not cold, but not 80 degrees like it was yesterday. I don't pretend to understand the weather in the South, and frankly, I am surprised the weather men don't just shrug and say, "Hell if I know!"
