(Something I'd like to read at school but not carry around in my backpack.)

I still want to read Power Trio, hot mess or not. :PLizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06376697563995394878noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5196094336176295818.post-68853717898604414482011-02-05T16:42:40.437-05:002011-02-05T16:42:40.437-05:00Oh yeah, Power Trio is at almost 100,000 words. It needs a major overhaul, and I haven't had the heart. I also got a teeeeeeny bit distracted by my amnesia girl story!Wannabe Writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02536810143228961531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5196094336176295818.post-25057326498864278052011-02-05T16:41:00.595-05:002011-02-05T16:41:00.595-05:00Liz, Matched might be the dystopian novel to intro...Liz, Matched might be the dystopian novel to introduce you back to the genre without massively upping the need for anti-anxieties. I felt like it introduces great concepts without being terrifying- great for making you appreciate the freedoms we have now.

Glad you liked it too, Emily. Wow, 7 figures! Holy guacamole! I didn't know that. I wanted to take the Golden Compass thing a little further, but I got tired. :) But, truly, they are the only cliffhangers I like: ones were you get the sense that the adventure is just beginning.Wannabe Writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02536810143228961531noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5196094336176295818.post-3548717290963625192011-02-05T11:07:10.557-05:002011-02-05T11:07:10.557-05:00I read Matched too and also loved it. That's a lot of hype to live up too.

And nice Golden Compass comparison!emily j. griffinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14631458226460231452noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5196094336176295818.post-3320420613864109352011-02-04T23:05:29.354-05:002011-02-04T23:05:29.354-05:00By the way, 95,482 words on Power Trio? I haven't, either, mostly because I read the book of Revelations about six years ago and that was about as much dystopian as I could stomach. I know, I know, that makes me a bad person. But until someone offers to foot my xanax tab, that's how it'll be.

I have heard good things about Matched, though, particularly that it's not the doom and gloom kind of dystopian like most are.Lizhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06376697563995394878noreply@blogger.com
